The Terre Brune is a beautiful, award-winning red wine from Santadi winery in Sardinia. The wine is made from the indigenous grape varieties Carignano and Bovaleddu. Between the end of September and the beginning of October, the grapes are picked by hand and aged in French oak barriques for 16-18 months. The maturation in the bottle takes about 12 months.
Powerful and very complex in taste, with aromas of dark fruit, tobacco and chocolate. Combines well with roasted and grilled meats, spicy dishes and medium to ripe cheese.
Gambero Rosso, the publisher of the leading wine guide of the same name, has rated this Terre Brune with three "biccheri" (wine glasses): the highest possible rating!
The Terre Brune has an alcohol content of 14.5%.
