The plot at Voignier at Château Guery, produced on clay-limestone soil, has a long yield, making it very rich wines. Viognier is a delicate grape variety that requires a lot of attention, therefore the Viognier is harvested at night to avoid oxidation of the juice by heat and also its vinification is done at a low temperature.
It is a delight for new consumers looking for aromatic white wines. Its golden yellow color captivates the eye before enchanting the palate and we recognize upon tasting the aromas of white peach and apricot. Well concentrated and greasy on the palate. It is ideal as an aperitif and goes perfectly with white meat and fish.
Young René-Henry Guéry is a winegrower in heart and soul. His family domain of 23 ha is located in the heart of the Minervois, on poor limestone clay soils. The almost ever-present wind plays a decisive role in the terroir here. This comes either from over sea (the Marin, moisture and coolness), or from the East (the Cers, dry and warm). Here they get the most out of the grapes by, among other things, environmentally friendly wine growing and a nocturnal harvest for the white grapes.
